The top level of the charging infrastructure is the charging area, which can represent one parking lot, a building, a basement, etc. It is a place for charging electric vehicles.
Assets represent a consumer/producer of energy in a charging area but are not chargers—for example, solar panels. It can also be a smart meter.
A charging station represents the networking component connected to EV Charge. A station can have single or multiple chargers based on the communication protocol (OCPP 1.6 or 2.0.1).
Charging profiles are created to limit the power output of a charger by a fixed schedule described on the profile.
Sessions list past and ongoing (active) charging sessions from the charging network.
Reservations show the list of your customers’ past and active connector reservations from the EV Charge - Mobile App.
Perform OCPP operations on the charging infrastructure, such as turning on/off a charger, scheduling firmware upgrades, rebooting, and requesting diagnostic logs on a charging station.
An operator is an entity that owns some chargers or a charging location on which your service runs. It could be a hotel, a restaurant, etc.
Roaming enables you to connect to a roaming service provider to offer your chargers to other drivers that are not your direct customers and for your customers to be able to see and use chargers from other charger providers.
